The eagerly anticipated The Last of Us Part II, the sequel to Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed The Last of Us, could be coming to PlayStation 4 in February 2020.
A new video interview with Ellie’s voice actress, Ashley Johnson, pretty much spilled all the beans. During a chat for Critical Role, the actress is asked when TLOU: Part 2 is out and begins to say ‘February’ before being cut off by the interviewer. Why on earth he felt the need to cut her off at such a crucial juncture we’ll never know.
Anyway, the cat’s basically out of the bag now as there is precisely one month which starts with ‘Feb….’ Whoopsie.

This aligns neatly with Kotaku’s Jason Schrier, who claimed back in May that The Last of Us 2 was “planned for fall 2019 but I actually just heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February.” Lovely stuff, let’s lock it in.
Sony was notably absent from E3 this year, of course, preferring to hold fire rather than show off the same trio of games once again. The heavy-hitting cavalcade of Death Stranding, The Last of Us: Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima should wave off the PS4 in fine style. We know Death Stranding is out in November, and now it looks as The Last of Us 2 will drop three months later in February 2020.
The one question mark now hangs over Ghost of Tsushima. Will it be the PS4’s swan song, or have we been eying up a PlayStation 5 release all along?
